Destiny 2 How Often Does the Vex Mythoclast Drop
This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

The Vex Mythoclast is an Exotic Fusion Rifle in Destiny 2 that deals Solar damage with an RPM of 390. Unlike typical Fusion Rifles, this weapon features no charge time, meaning it is capable of unleashing sustained fire and precision damage, similar to an Auto Rifle. With these elements, the Vex Mythoclast is superior when it comes to TTK, making it a highly sought-after firearm for many Guardians. However, an unpleasant predicament that many players must face is the fact that this weapon is only acquired through a rare drop from a Raid. Accordingly, it will be beneficial for those pursuing the Vex Mythoclast to know how often it drops in Destiny 2.

The Vex Mythoclast is acquired from a Destiny 2 Raid known as the Vault of Glass. This Raid is said to be one of the most challenging experiences Bungie has ever created and takes quite a while to complete. The drop rate for the Vex Mythoclast once players get through the Raid is said to be around 3%.

This calculation comes from a Reddit user by the name of Pinnkeyy, who conducted a complex survey to collect the results for their data. Of course, much of the analysis will be somewhat jargonistic for average players to understand, but the main conclusion is evident. The Vex Mythoclast Exotic Fusion Rifle in Destiny 2 has a meager drop rate, which means the chances of a Guardian acquiring this weapon is significantly low. Furthermore, another Reddit user named Nutty-max has claimed that the drop chances are actually lower, with a 1% likelihood of the Vex Mythoclast dropping.

With these minuscule percents in mind, there is no doubt that luck and RNG play a central role in acquiring the Vex Mythoclast in Destiny 2. It could take players weeks, months, or even years before they obtain the Exotic Fusion Rifle, depending on their perseverance to grind the Raid. Since the Vault of Glass can take almost an hour to complete, many might be demotivated by the effort and abysmal probability. Nevertheless, if Guardians truly wish to unlock this one-of-a-kind weapon, they will need to put in the time, effort, and grind to hopefully receive the drop after one of their clears. For the weapon’s stats and features, the endeavor will certainly be worthwhile for some.
