The next expansion for Destiny 2, The Final Shape, is coming at full speed, and with it, the new Salvation’s Edge raid. Like any other raid in Destiny 2, Salvation’s Edge will also feature the long-awaited World First Race, where all players can participate in some capacity. So, whether you want to watch the brave fire teams fight to finish this instance or lead Guardians into this perilous journey, you should save the date because the race is about to begin.
As announced through an official post, Destiny 2‘s newest raid, Salvation’s Edge, will launch on June 7 at 10 AM PT. Similar to The Root of Nightmares raid, it’ll have certain requirements and modifiers to enter, such as these:
- Contest Mode will be enabled for 48 hours.
- A Power Level requirement of 1965 to be at the cap throughout all the encounters.
- The Fireteam leader must complete The Final Shape campaign and the Wild Card Exotic quest to enter. Other members can skip this requirement.
For the last part, Bungie advises not to skip the campaign as there are many spoilers inside Salvation’s Edge. Also, the developers have changed the completion criteria for the World First Race of Salvation’s Edge. Previously, players had to return to orbit to finish the race. However, this time, they only need to complete every encounter and loot the final chest.

- Active between 9:30 AM PT on June 7 and 9:30 AM PT on June 9. Awarded by subscribing to a Destiny 2 streamer.
