It’s finally that time of year where the Festival of the Lost comes around in Destiny 2. Festival of the Lost in an annual event that occurs in-game and follows the theme of the spooky Halloween season. Though, what’s more exciting than anything else are the awesome cosmetics and gear that release with Festival of the Lost every year. This year, we get a new armor set and a peek into an event activity that we can participate in and even gain extra rewards in: Legend Haunted Sectors. What Is Festival of the Lost?
The Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2023 is this year’s Halloween season event. If you remember anything from previous years, the event takes on a trick-or-treat type of vibe while you compete in activities for candy that can be turned into the well-know Space Grandma, aka Eva Levante, for rewards of varying degrees.
Festival of the Lost 2023 Start Date and Time
The 2023 Festival of the Lost in Destiny 2 will begin on October 17th, 2023 and run for a total of three weeks until November 7th, 2023. You should expect the event to begin at the time of the weekly reset on October 17th, 1 p.m. EST.
All New Additions to Destiny 2 in Festival of the Lost 2023
There are quite a few new things that are being added into the game with the beginning of Festival of the Lost this year, including quite a few changes to engram focusing, new types of engrams and more.
- Eerie Engrams
- An entirely new type of engram.
- Can be opened for treats, or can be used for Hocus Focusing
- Chance to drop in Haunted Sectors; bigger chance to drop in Legend Haunted Sectors
- Hocus Focusing
- A spooky twist on Exotic Focusing
- Exotic Armor can be obtained with four different focusing categories
- Costs Eerie Engrams in addition to 2,500+ Candy
- Requires the expansions that any Exotic Armor is tied to for it to work with Hocus Focusing
- You will only be able to receive Exotic Armor for the Guardian Class you are currently playing when you interact with Hocus Focusing
- Event Exclusive Memento
- New Event Weapon
- Acosmic
- Heavy Grenade Launcher
- Can be obtained from Eerie Engrams and Eva Levante
- Previous Festival of the Lost weapons Returning
- Available with new Perk combinations
