The road to Destiny: Rising has been a long one, but we’re all about to jump into this alternate timeline for the first time in a few days. While the excitement for the game’s launch was already high, it has reached even higher levels now that the team of Destiny: Rising has made significant changes before its release date, showing that this isn’t just a Destiny spin-off with the same things we’ve grown accustomed to. It is better in many aspects, and one title that many heroes will want to experience.

Destiny: Rising Unveils Many Features Coming at Launch

In case you missed it, the team of Destiny: Rising had a developer preview ahead of the game’s global launch. In it, the developers underline many of the features coming on day one, as well as some of the changes that have happened during the game’s development, and how the closed betas influenced these new additions and tweaks.

For starters, the weapon and artifact systems have changed considerably. For the former, the Mods system has undergone an overhaul, allowing players to get random attributes with their mods, which, in turn, make for different build opportunities. As for Artifacts, say goodbye to the set bonuses. Now, these items will come with specific attributes that you can mix and match to create your perfect build.

Then, all players will get one of the most requested features for Destiny: Rising, and that is the ability to slide. It might seem like a small addition for some, but a lot of newcomers are praising the team after they added this mechanic, which will make the fast-paced combat flow even better.

To use this ability and many others coming to the game, the Week One event is coming to Gauntlet Mode, which will reward players with an exclusive Emblem should they complete it. But there’s another incentive. The more players who complete the raid, the better the rewards for everyone. So, if you really want to try some fast-paced combat in some of the iconic instances Destiny is known for, you know what to do. And of course, the Week One race is up for those who want an extra challenge once the raid is up.

In terms of changes, Pinnacle Energy got a huge change, allowing players to still get rewards from instances, even without Pinnacle Energy. They won’t be as great, mind you, but it is a way to let you play with others, even after you’ve finished your grinding. And speaking of grinding, the first two character talents will be free for everyone, meaning you don’t need duplicates to activate them, which is an excellent QoL addition.

On top of that, many rewards are coming to Destiny: Rising on day one, including log-in events, more currency when completing certain achievements, and more. So, if you can’t wait to jump into this new mobile adventure, we’re just a few hours away from experiencing this uncharted universe for veteran and new Destiny players.
