343 Industries remains true to their word of providing free DLC for Halo 5. In a new blog post on the Halo Waypoint blog, the developer has provided details on the next batch of free DLC.

Ghosts of Meridian is the title of the April update for Halo 5 and the update will be bringing some new goodies whenever it is set to go live. The content comes with new maps, vehicles, weapons, weapon skins, armor, helmets, and emblems. It will also include to Forge and multiplayer (both Arena and Warzone), some changes in weapon balance, and some UI updates. The full details of the update have yet to be released. So expect 343 to offer up the details when it is time for the update to go live.

Some of the notable items include a new variant of the Gravity Hammer called Tartarus’ Gavel and some new variants on both the Mantis mech and the Scorpion tank. Players will also get the chance to unlock two new armors. One is a brand new armor set called the Dynast Armor and the other is somewhat new, but it uses the Mjolnir Mark V armor system as a base and is called the Mark V Alpha Reflex Armor. One last notable item is a new player emblem with the Steaktacular emblem on it. All of these items can be unlocked through the game’s REQ system.

Halo 5 launched last October and 343 Industries has released an update every month since then. New content arrived in November (The Battle of Shadow and Light), December (Cartographer’s Gift), January (Infinity’s Armor), and February (Hammer Storm). All good things must come to an end and this streak is one of them. Players have to wait until April in order to get access to the new content.

Stay tuned to The Nerd Stash for more information on when the new content will drop.
