Blizzard has taken the online features of the Diablo franchise to a new level, but we still have a few things that have not changed. Diablo 4, like its predecessor, has clans you can join and create. Whether you played the third installment or are new to the action RPG, you may have questions as this may have differences or similarities from the past mechanic. Regardless of your experience or knowledge, we will teach you everything you need to know. By the end, you will know how to properly connect with your friends and/or community through this online feature in the MMO-styled ARPG.
How to Join and Create Clans in Diablo 4
Creating clans in Diablo 4 is an easy endeavor. Go to the menu and the tab for clans. You will have the option to join or create one. For creating, you click this and fill out the options to curate it to your liking. You will create the clan’s name that can be up to 24 characters long and an up to 6-character long title that other players in the world will see. Optionally, you can add a description, a desired language for people in this community, and a label to describe people’s activity. You can also customize the look of the clan with a banner that includes a symbol and a color palette. Now that you have it created, similarly to the third game and Immortal, you can have up to 150 members. It will be searchable for anyone wanting to request to join your clan.
Clans in Diablo 4 have various settings for privacy and permissions for leaders to adjust whenever they want. You can edit the previously created description, language request, and labels. You can also make it private or public. For your members, you can deliver a message of the day to inform them of anything related to the clan. You can also add in social media and other connection information, like a Discord or Twitch channel. Permissions include a rank needed to join, process applications, promote and demote members, remove members, ban and unban members, invite people, mute chat, and voice chat with fellow members.
This is also easy if you want to join any clans in Diablo 4. Instead of clicking “Create Clan,” you click “Join Clan” in the tab. You can search to find what is right for you or a specific one belonging to a community or friend group. The search menu will have all the necessary information, like the clan name, tag, leader, created date, and the number of members. Click “Request to Join” and wait to be accepted or declined.
If you have been invited, going to the tab will display the invitation. Accept or decline it, and you are good to go.
Diablo 4 is available on PS4 and 5, Xbox One, Series X|S, and PC.
