Sean “Diddy” Combs is said to be doing everything in his power to prove his innocence behind bars. In addition to begging to be released on bail so that he can await trial at either his private island home in Florida or his lavish New York apartment, he’s also making moves from behind bars. Diddy’s bail was denied yet again. However, that’s not stopping him from some shady behavior while in jail.
According to Radar Online, Diddy has been secretly gaming the system as he is trying to do all he can to sway any potential jurors who will be chosen for his upcoming trial. Sources claim that the disgraced rapper has been trying to bribe witnesses to discredit his accusers. He’s also allegedly been using his children to help him get sympathy and look better to the general public. Prosecutors filed a legal document alleging that Diddy is obstructing justice from his jail cell as he is being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center.
The music mogul reportedly wants to use social media and public statements to alter public perception. He’s even allegedly instructed his children to share content on their social media pages in hopes of making him look like a devoted father. Recently, his children were seen gushing over their imprisoned dad in honor of his birthday in early November.
Diddy Accused of Obstructing Justice Behind Bars
“On multiple calls, often using the [phone] numbers of other inmates, the defendant is explicit about his intention to use public statements to alter public perception,” one insider stated. “Diddy is definitely feeling the heat. It’s clear he’ll stop at nothing to skate by!”
Diddy was arrested earlier this year after several accusations of sexual misconduct. However, he’s maintained his innocence, claiming he’s being extorted by the more than 100 people who have sued him thus far.
However, prosecutors claim that prison guards found notes on Diddy’s phone that suggest he may have paid former friend Kalenna Harper to refute claims of sexual abuse made by former group member Dawn Richard. Dawn previously accused Diddy of sexually assaulting her, depriving her of food and sleep, and physically abusing then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. She also claimed that she witnessed him assault underage girls.
“I knew he was a fraud from the start. Never thought he would be this level of creep though,” one person wrote via Reddit.
“This man thinks he is actually above the law,” another wrote.
Diddy is now being accused of using other inmate’s phone numbers to contact people outside of the prison. The insider claims that those conversations wouldn’t be privileged between him and his lawyers. This means that they could be entered into evidence and used during his trial.
Diddy’s trial is scheduled to begin in May 2025. Until then it appears that he’ll remain behind bars while working on his defense. However, if he has been obstructing justice and it can be confirmed, that could prove to be his downfall.
