Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently behind bars awaiting trial. The disgraced rapper was arrested and charged with sexual misconduct in late 2024. However, he seems to be overshadowed at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Center, where he’s being held. Now that alleged CEO murderer Luigi Mangione is being held at the facility, it looks like Diddy is old news. The music mogul is now reportedly feeling jealous of Mangione, who is charged with the murder of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
According to a report by The Daily Mail, Diddy and Luigi Mangione are both being held in the Brooklyn prison. However, it’s Luigi who is stealing the spotlight from Diddy as the inmates reportedly love him. As he is used to having the attention on him, Diddy is said to be fuming over his fellow inmate’s popularity.
“Diddy has been throwing tantrums over the fact that Luigi is getting all of the attention in prison and is being revered as a hero after literally murdering someone on camera,” a source said. “Even in prison, Diddy’s ego is bigger than life.”
Diddy Can’t Stand That Luigi Mangione Is More Popular in Prison
While Diddy is upset that the other inmates aren’t flocking to him for his celebrity status, Luigi is said to be a hit behind bars. The inmates are allegedly supporting him and sharing stories about their loved ones who have died after not getting proper healthcare.
Although Diddy and Mangione haven’t spent any time together or even crossed paths, they are connected. The two men both share the same legal team. In addition, Diddy is being held with the general popular at the prison. Meanwhile, Luigi is being kept in solitary confinement.
Fans Have Opinions About Diddy’s Downfall
Of course, fans have plenty to say about Diddy’s alleged jealousy toward Luigi Mangione.
“Diddy can’t live his life without thinking he is the smartest and most important guy in the room. It will only harm his defense,” one person commented.
“Diddy’s immense ego at work!” said another.
“Reality check Diddy: No one likes you and they never have,” a third person stated.
“He is delusional,” a fourth comment read.
In addition, Combs has come under massive scrutiny following the charges made against him. Although he’s proclaimed his innocence, the public opinion has not been good. Meanwhile, Mangione has found himself with an entire supportive community of fans, which is said to have left him “shocked” and “choked up.”
Since his arrest, Mangione has surprisingly been adored by men and women alike for both his looks and his vigilante persona. All the while, more allegations about Diddy’s parties and alleged heinous behavior have come to light. The entertainer now has over 150 people filing lawsuits against him, claiming sexual abuse and exploitation.
The rapper has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. His legal team is working on their case, and the rapper’s trial is set to begin in early May. Meanwhile, Luigi Mangione has yet to enter a plea on the charges of murder and firearm counts. He appeared in court in December, but an indictment is yet to be returned. Until then, he remains in the Brooklyn prison with Diddy.
