Diddy‘s efforts to fight the scathing allegations against him continue with a new move to suppress evidence. The incarcerated music mogul’s lawyers filed a motion, imploring the court to revisit the search warrants that sparked his downfall. Diddy’s criminal case made waves in 2024 following viral raids on his homes in New York, Miami, and Los Angeles.
These raids uncovered shocking proof of his alleged crimes, including more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil. At the time, the feds claimed they recovered hard drives and surveillance equipment that led to Diddy’s arrest and indictment. The aftermath saw him facing multiple charges related to racketeering, conspiracy, sex trafficking, and prostitution.

However, it took five months after federal agents took Diddy into custody last September for the warrants to become a problem. The Bad Boy Records founder’s legal team filed their arguments on Sunday, February 23, citing “false statements.” They accused the feds of presenting “a grossly distorted picture of the facts” when obtaining the search warrants.
Diddy Slams Feds for Hiding Evidence
On that note, Diddy’s lawyers implored the court to suppress all evidence obtained in the searches. Part of their arguments included claims that the government hid the alleged victims’ financial motivations for making their accusations. Additionally, they accused the feds of hiding evidence that proved at least one of the alleged victims willingly participated in the “freak-offs.”
In court documents, the feds defined a Freak Off as days-long sexual activity. These events involved Diddy with male and female commercial sex workers. They alleged that some of these sex workers were transported over state lines, per TMZ. While the rapper’s team argues that the government intentionally compiled misleading statements against him, X users begged to differ.
Social Media Users Troll Diddy’s Latest Legal Move

Most of Diddy’s legal efforts have been met with mockery, and his latest motion received similar sentiments. X user trolled the music mogul with someone noting he was “cooked.” They added, “He couldn’t intimidate his accusers and now is looking for technicalities. Not very gangsta, but also saved Snoop from a murder conviction.” Another found the timing ridiculous, writing:
“YOU ARE JUST NOW QUESTIONING THE VALIDITY OF THE SEARCH WARRANT? ARE YOU SERIOUS? HOW MUCH ARE YOU PAYING YOUR LAWYERS?”
The quips continued, with a third wondering if Diddy got the idea from a cellmate. A fourth declared the rapper was guilty, while another implied Donald Trump would let him score a “sweet deal.” The comments matched the predictions social media users made following the exit of one of the entertainer’s lawyers. We covered the drama days earlier, sharing that Anthony Ricco left Diddy’s legal team for undisclosed reasons.
The attorney filed a motion regarding his exit on February 21, 2025 noting, “Under no circumstances can I continue to effectively serve as counsel for Sean Combs, consistent with the ABA Standards for Criminal Justice.” Ricco’s decision raised several eyebrows as it came three months before the start of Diddy’s criminal trial.
Could Diddy’s latest motion be a last-ditch attempt to avoid his looming legal battle?
