Disgaea, the popular tactical RPG, is coming making its’ way to the Steam store soon. Disgaea PC promises several content updates to the user interface, textures, and controller support. Players can expect to play the game on February 2016 via the Steam Store.
Nippon Ichi Software, INC is the classic developer behind the franchise. Disgaea is known for being a humorously serious RPG series set in a variety of different “Netherworlds” filled with intriguing characters. The series made its’ debut back in 2003 with Disgaea:Hour of Darkness. The initial installments were developed and released for the PlayStation 2, and was later re-released for handheld consoles. The latest installment in the franchise, Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance, was released this past October for the PlayStation 4.
Gameplay utilizes role playing game elements. This includes dialogue sequences, intense damage output levels, and large capped character stat levels of up to 9999. Key features should include over 40 unique character types, a randomly generated dungeon world, and “over-the-top” battle animations. The franchise has sold over 1.7 million units since its’ debut. The series has, since, been developed into a manga and anime series.
