Dishonored 2 is out and its official theme is that you should ‘Play your way’. Due to the massively flexible playstyle, this isn’t hard. You have powers, assassin skills and even the option to do a powerless play through there are many ways to play.

Yet Bethesda seems determined to push the limits of this creed. An upcoming free update will add both New Game Plus and adjustable difficulty. According to Eurogamer;
“Dishonored 2 will get a New Game Plus mode as a free update next month, allowing players the ability to replay the campaign with their suped up character.
Bethesda also teased on its blog that “new custom difficulty settings” will be added, though it’s unclear just what these will be. Details will follow “in the coming weeks.”
Since some of you may not have heard of it, let’s explain new game plus. It means starting a new game while carrying over bonuses from the previous playthrough. Sometimes this takes the form of rewards for achievements in the last playthrough. While, other times, you can begin the new game with the end game abilities of your previous run. While this can lead to some cathartic moments of breezing through boss battles there are more exciting possibilities.
New game plus gameplay tends to give options and secrets not available on a vanilla playthrough. This may be because the player lacks the right ability at the right place. Another reason is that certain content is saved for the second playthrough.
Either way, new game plus and adjustable difficulty are exciting additions to a game like Dishonored 2. As a result, the dishonored sequel is about to become even more replayable. Stay tuned to the Nerd Stash for more info as it surfaces.
