Emotions are high for fans of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and the special preview of Lumiere and Cogsworth.
This past May, Disney released a teaser trailer eerily similar to their 1991 animated classic. With slight hints of a thriller mixed with an achingly beautiful backdrop, die-hard Disney fans won’t be able to contain their excitement for this new revival.

One of the most important questions asked by fans and critics alike is how will the sentient household objects be portrayed. Mrs. Potts and Chip, Lumiere and Cogsworth, fans everywhere can not wait to see what Disney will unveil.
This past week, Disney released the first looks of Lumiere and Cogsworth, the candelabra and grandfather clock duo. Lumiere seemed to step out of aVictorian dining room, gilded in gold, with an ornate, twisted, almost like a human dancing in vines.
Cogsworth looks stately and grand, like a proper tabletop grandfather’s clock. He has the same “leaf” designs that mirror Lumiere’s, signaling the relationship between these two friends. His clock details show the trademark “worry” that his 1991 character had.
Besides the first look of the accessorized duo, Disney released a scene from Gaston’s tavern and an image of Dan Stevens as the Beast in his human form.
Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast is set to debut in March of 2017. It features a line-up of A-list stars such as Emma Watson, Ewan McGregor, Emma Thompson, Ian McKellen, Josh Gad and much more.
