The post-apocalyptic world of Wuthering Waves is here, and many gacha gamers want to know if they can invite their friends for some good ol’ co-op fun. Ever since Genshin Impact launched, the days of solo-focused gacha games became a thing of the past. Now, every Resonator wants to pair with others to tackle challenging bosses, collect rare materials, and show off their husbandos and waifus. But does Wuthering Waves allow us to do this?
How To Play Co-Op in Wuthering Waves
Yes. Wuthering Waves has a co-op component, which is similar to other open-world gacha games. According to the CBT3 information, players can unlock this feature after reaching level 25. Once you reach the level, you must invite your friends from your list and start playing together. We know level 25 seems too much for players, but we feel it is a great starting point to let you familiarize yourself with certain mechanics before jumping into some multiplayer content.
How Does Co-Op Work?
Those tagging along for some co-op action should know there are a few restrictions. Here, we’ve listed some of the most important ones you need to know before inviting your friends to your world.
- Level 25 is required.
- You can only invite two other players to your party, for a total of three people in a group.
- Other players can harvest resources from your world.
- You can’t do any endgame content with them.
- You can’t unlock chests in other worlds.
So far, it seems Wuthering Waves follows a similar design to that of Genshin Impact regarding its multiplayer aspect, which isn’t great. Many players have criticized HoYoverse’s co-op mechanics to no avail. Still, Wuthering Waves is fairly new, so we could see changes to these systems in the future.
Wuthering Waves is available on mobile devices and PCs through the Epic Games Store and its launcher.
