Donald Trump and Prince Harry are the names on everyone’s lips. This is due to the former president’s most recent exclusive interview. On Saturday, Trump opened up for the first time about the issue between Prince Harry and Queen Elizabeth II and the Royal Family. The politician accused the Duke of Sussex of betraying his grandmother. Trump, who has bickered with other celebrities, added that left to him, Prince Harry would have been on his own. Trump also bashed Joe Biden’s administration for defending Prince Harry over his current visa wrangle.
Details of the Donald Trump and Prince Harry Controversy
Donald Trump and Prince Harry are at the heart of a heated controversy. On Saturday, the former U.S. president warned the Duke of Sussex that he wouldn’t be treated with kid gloves should he be elected president again. Speaking to Daily Express at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington on Saturday, Trump warned that Prince Harry would be on his own if he won a second term this year. The Republican front-runner claimed Prince Harry betrayed the late Queen Elizabeth II, describing it as unforgivable.
“I wouldn’t protect him. He betrayed the Queen. That’s unforgivable. He would be on his own if it was down to me,” Trump told the outlet.
He also bashed Biden’s approach toward Prince Harry since he moved to California in 2020. Trump also noted that the policies were too gracious to him.
“I think they have been too gracious to him after what he has done,” Trump said.
Prince Harry Is Embroiled in a Legal Battle
Trump’s declaration about Prince Harry and Queen Elizabeth II came a day after the 39-year-old’s immigration status was scrutinized. A conservative think tank argued that the Duke couldn’t have legally entered the U.S. due to admitting to taking illegal drugs at the time. Recall that in Prince Harry’s memoir Spare, he noted that he has used marijuana, cocaine, and psychedelic mushrooms.
The think tank lawsuit argued that if Prince Harry didn’t lie during the immigration process, he would be inadmissible for entry to the country. However, Prince Harry’s lawyers argued that the admissions in the book weren’t sworn proof that he did drugs. The lawyers said Prince Harry’s claims could have been a ploy to sell books. Meanwhile, the conservative think tank is suing to force the release of the Duke of Sussex’s US immigration files.
