Bethesda’s ID Software has not given up its support for the latest entry in the Doom franchise. DOOM Eternal has had multiple updates and content expansions in the past few years since its release. With the company at large continuing work on the upcoming Starfield, there have been very few announcements over the future of DOOM Eternal DLC. Yet, today they unveiled one of the latest updates coming to the title since the launch of DLC. This of course being the much-awaited horde mode that piles waves of enemies onto the player. While only providing a tease of the mode to come, Bethesda has relatively been working quickly to release this update for the spooky season. At the end of the trailer, the update is confirmed to launch with the 6.66 updates on October 26.

What is ID Software adding in DOOM Eternal’s 6.66 Horde Mode Update?
As a studio, Bethesda’s ID Software has worked very quickly to release updates and DLC to the title. With this new inclusion, the title is certainly receiving a much-deserved inclusion. Many of the DOOM Eternal maps seem built for waves of enemies to descend on the players. Yet, without a dedicated mode, fans often speculated how it would function in a DOOM setting. Now it seems that Bethesda is finally delivering on that promise with DOOM Eternal’s Horde Mode. While the brief trailer only provides a glimpse into the mode, it seems to utilize many of the titles maps. While the info is still sparse, the update is set to launch extremely soon. Starting on October 26, players can jump right into the horde mode fun on all platforms. As the revival of the DOOM franchise continues, ID Software continues to bring back the shooter to its former glory.
