In A Hidden Hoard side quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you need to find the location of the secret treasure in Minrathous. Like many things in the game, things will turn dark and you have to fight against a demon at the end of this mission. How To Complete A Hidden Hoard in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
You can start A Hidden Hoard quest by reading a post on the notice board in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The poster promises to lead you to a secret location where you can obtain untold amounts of riches. You will need to follow the trails, and you can start by investigating the Wharfs Crossing South area.
The first clue is located on the table inside a building on the northern side. It will tell you to go to a bridge and enter a crumbling building in Dock Town. To get the second clue, you need to head north and enter the Wharfs Crossing North area. Then you need to follow these steps:
- Turn left and cross the wooden bridge.
- At the junction, turn right and enter the stone building.
- Climb up the broken structure until you reach the top.
- Pass through the entrance and cross another bridge.
- You can find a note to your left and a treasure chest.
Your next destination in A Hidden Hoard quest is the Shoreline Passage. You must enter the Catacombs and follow these steps to reach the treasure location:
- Head straight and turn left before the green jar.
- Jump through the hole in the wall near a small chest.
- Follow the passage and fight the group of enemies.
Another group of people is already chasing after this hidden treasure, and they don’t want to share it. You now need to defeat them all before you can open the locked wooden door. The mercenaries are vulnerable to Lightning and resistant to Fire.
Once all enemies are dead, you can open the door to find two treasure chests and a corpse. Be careful when you open them since they will release poisonous gas. You must also read all the torn pages in the locked room to find out the truth behind this treasure hunt.
How To Beat Desperation Boss
The true culprit in A Hidden Hoard quest is a demon named Desperation. You have to exorcise this creature and stop it from drawing in more innocents to their deaths. Luckily, the monster is still located within the Catacombs. You just need to head to the southern area, where you can find a large treasure chest containing Magister’s End unique light armor.
Your party will exchange some words with the demon before you can fight this monster. The creature is weak against Necrotic damage and resistant to Lightning. It will also summon two monsters alongside it. They are also weak against Necrotic magic. Emmrich and Lucanis are the best allies to bring into this battle.
The demon will attack with Lightning magic. It will sometimes create AoE fields where thunder will strike from the ball of energy. This element is quite tricky since it has a high Stagger. Besides magic, it will also use its claws for a melee attack before ending it with a lightning slash.
