Many of us already know that one of the most important driving rules is not to drive under the influence of alcohol. Sadly, the truth is that many people take this law as a mere suggestion, putting more people or themselves in danger. Something like in this Reddit video in which a man in California thought it was a good idea to drive his golf cart when he was so drunk and barely could walk straight. Fortunately, this man didn’t hurt anyone but became a victim of his poor and reckless decisions.
The Redditor CompetitiveNovel8990 shared the video at r/DamnThatsFascinating. In the video, two people walk through a parking lot in Palm Springs, California, but the man, visibly drunk, runs into a golf cart. The woman begins to argue with the man about not getting on the cart and tries to convince him to go with her. However, the stubborn man gets on the cart and turns it on. Immediately, the man drives over the sidewalk, knocks over a flower planter, and swerves around a palm tree in front of him. Just as the man is about to drive over the next sidewalk, the car becomes a catapult and ejects the man from the vehicle. Fortunately, in the video, it appears that the man did not suffer such a brutal hit or that there is no apparent injury.
Many of the users began to debate whether the man was from Florida or California. In the end, they came to a consensus:
In all fairness, the guy might be a Florida man….in California…

For some reason, people from Florida have a bad reputation compared to people from other states. However, we cannot deny that many videos of people from Florida acting “differently” are circulating on Reddit.
Florida is a state of mind.

Hopefully, the man won’t try to drive drunk again after this incident. This time, the man was fortunate he didn’t have to go to the hospital after that little joyride.
