We’ve all had wild nights partying with our nearest and dearest, but have you ever gotten so drunk that you’ve lost your pants? And have you ever been so inebriated that you’ve confessed your sins to the police? Well, a man in Tempe, Arizona did exactly that, but was also caught on camera doing so.
In the footage, which is seemingly recorded by another officer of the law, we see two police officers approaching a silver SUV in the middle of the night. Both are holding torches and investigating the vehicle closely. The female officer opens the rear passenger door to find a man in the backseat in only his birthday suit. Thankfully, we don’t see anything. “Yeah, he’s naked.” the officer says as she opens the door. “Hey, bud. Do you have any weapons on you or anything? Where’s your pants?“
“No, I don’t. Uh, they’re in the front.” replies the man. “Okay, why aren’t you wearing any pants?” asks the female cop. “Uh, it was a… crazy night. You guys are crazy, man. There’s nothing going on bad, like… we’re just trying to get some stuff on before I go home, and I’m trying to cheat on my wife, alright?” calmly responds the drunk guy in a rather surprising admission.
“You’re trying to cheat on your wife? Okay, you guys have pants up there?” asks the confused female officer. After a short back and forth, the man’s pants are found in the front of the car, and he puts them on before stepping out of the vehicle. “I don’t even understand why you guys pulled up?” exclaims the man. “We got a call… about a naked guy outside of his truck.” the cop replies awkwardly. “Is that against the law?” asks the man. “Yeah.” responds the officer.
Indeed, in the state of Arizona, public indecency can result in a hefty fine, probation, and even a prison sentence. Whether this man was charged with public indecency is unclear, however, though it does seem likely. With hope, the drunk man learnt his lesson and won’t be making the same mistake twice.
