Comedian Druski has the internet in a chokehold after releasing a bold new skit that skewers megachurch culture and prosperity preaching. The viral video blends sharp satire with uncomfortable truths, igniting laughter, debate, praise, and backlash as fans argue over whether he’s mocking faith or exposing exploitation.
Druski Skewers Prosperity Preaching With Unfiltered Satire
The 31-year-old comedian plays a flamboyant megachurch pastor who descends from the ceiling, dripping in luxury and confidence. The skit quickly sets the tone when he declares, “I’m going to have Wanda stand up here… Wanda told us earlier this month that she cannot have a baby anymore, so I impregnated her with the word of God. I’m going to impregnate everyone with the word of God!”
The parody captioned “Mega Church Pastors LOVE Money 😂😭” escalates as he flaunts his outfit, justifying it with the now-viral line, “Why am I wearing Christian Dior and Christian Louboutin? Because I’m a Christian and I walk in the blood of Jesus.”
The humor cuts deeper when the pastor announces a $4 million fundraising goal for a vague project in Zimbabwe, tells congregants they can’t leave without donating, then smugly counts the cash afterward.
The skit also echoes real-world controversies, including the 2025 backlash faced by pastor Robert Morris after requesting millions of dollars from the church for retirement payments, as reported by CBS, a moment that remains a reference point in conversations about church finances.
Fans React: Praise, Backlash, and Heated Debate
Online X reactions poured in instantly, with many applauding the comedian’s boldness. One user wrote,
“He’s exposing False teachers and we’ve got people saying he’s mocking God.”
Another added that the skit reflected “common sense,” while critics attack satire instead of confronting manipulative leadership. Others praised the production, calling it “beyond accurate” and thanking Druski for “shining light on this issue.”
Not everyone was amused. Some accused him of disrespect, arguing that jokes about church leaders cross a line into mocking God. According to one commenter:
“You don’t make jokes about God. It shows just how disrespectful and ungrateful you are. He is our creator and you ought to revere him not deride him. I just feel sad for this dude or whatever his name is called. You can’t make a career from rubbishing God’s name and what He stands for. You will surely suffer for it. And I feel so sorry too for the people that found his content funny. They have no moral compass too. We should respect and honor God not mock him in any way. That’s wickedly vile !”
Still, supporters fired back, insisting the skit targets corruption, not faith, and highlights how religion can be twisted for profit.
Whether hailed as truth-telling or condemned as offensive, Druski’s latest skit has undeniably struck a nerve and forced a conversation many weren’t ready to have.
