After the wicked success of Fantastic Beats and Where to Find Them, it was no surprise to anyone that Warner Brothers quickly announced that the series would run for about five films. And with Grindelwald being such a big part of the first movie, fans everywhere were hoping to see more of Dumbledore’s early life as well. Well, rest assured, Dumbledore is going to be an even bigger part of the Fantastic Beasts films than originally expected.

As if Johnny Depp’s surprising cameo as Gellert Grindelwald wasn’t awesome enough; it was announced a few months ago that Jude Law would be playing a young Albus Dumbledore. Eddie Redmayne will be returning as Newt Scamander in the second Fantastic Beasts film. We don’t know much, but here is what we do know. Fans os the series can expect to see Dumbledore team up with New Scamander in the next film to fight against the most powerful dark wizard of their world, Grindelwald.

While J.K. Rowling has already said she will not be returning to the main cast of Harry Potter anytime soon, it looks like we will get some more background on Dumbledore at least. Hopefully, Rowling will answer the many questions that Dumbledore’s adventurous yet mysterious life have raised over the years. Either way, fans of Harry Potter will have lots of information to sink their teeth into.

Fantastic Beats and Where to Find Them 2 is set to release next year on November 18th, 2018. If you need something to satisfy your Harry Potter craving, check out Pottermore’s new book club. Either way, you can rely on The Nerd Stash to fill you muggles in on all of the newest information from the wizarding world.
