Despite being out for a couple of hours, Omega Force is already talking about the future of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, including plans for potential DLC. While nothing is set in stone, the team behind this new entry in the Musou series claims there could be more content if fans really want more of it. It’s still uncertain what this entails or when/if it will happen. Still, it is nice to see that Origins could have even more things to offer after its launch. And even if it doesn’t, there are so many things to discover and endings to unlock that players will spend dozens of hours in it.
According to an interview by Dengeki Online, Tomohiko Sho, the head of Omega Force, discussed some of their plans for Dynasty Warriors: Origins, mainly for potential DLC.
According to Sho, when the team was working on Origins, they didn’t have DLC in mind. However, the team doesn’t rule out the possibility. Sho already has ideas of what the team could include in a DLC, assuming that’s what the players and the company want. Beyond that, Sho also talked about the next project after Origins.
As we know, the history of the Three Kingdoms is huge, and the Battle of the Red Cliffs, or the Battle of Chibi, isn’t the end of it. On the contrary, it is the beginning of many other conflicts that this new soft reboot of the series could explore in the future.
For now, it is all speculation, and neither the team nor the publishers have confirmed anything. However, Dynasty Warriors: Origins got superb reviews, so a DLC or even a sequel does not sound too crazy. Yet, we’ll have to wait and see what the plans are for this new beginning of the franchise. Hopefully, we’ll get any of those because Dynasty Warriors has reached a new pinnacle, and we’d love to see how much higher it can fly.
