The 23rd annual Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) is mere days away, with all of your favorite companies hoping to woo and wow with new IPs, sequels, hardware, and information on previously announced projects. With press conferences dedicated to each of these powerhouses, let’s take a look at what each one’s most anticipated announcement could end up being.
EA Press Conference – Star Wars: Battlefront 2
While Electronic Arts is predominantly known as a sports brand, the most anticipated game on their docket isn’t yearly installments like Fifa and Madden, but instead is the multiplayer shooter Star Wars: Battlefront 2. The original series is beloved by hardcore and casual gamers alike, and though the recent installment disappointed fans, most are willing to give it another shot if it means they can ride around in tie fighters and play as their favorite Heroes and Villains. The EA press conference will take place Saturday 10 June, 12 pm Pacific Time (8 pm UK time).
Microsoft Xbox Press Conference – Xbox Scorpio
Most conferences will surround the announcement of an upcoming game or a new IP, but all the buzz surrounding Microsoft revolves around their newest hardware. Since the company announced the Xbox Scorpio and it’s specs, fans have been dying to know when they can get their hands on it, as it’ll be the closest thing a console system has ever come to a PC. The Microsoft E3 conference will take place Sunday 11 June, 2 pm Pacific Time (10 pm UK time).
Bethesda Press Conference – Unknown Possible New IP’s
Best known for games like Skyrim and Fallout, there are plenty of things to look forward to from Bethesda’s conference, but the most anticipated products are the ones yet unknown. Todd Howard hinted months ago that the company was working on two “classically Bethesda” games and a new mobile game, so what better time to announce them than at the Electronic Entertainment Expo! The Bethesda E3 conference will take place Sunday 11 June, 7 pm Pacific Time (3 am UK time, 12th).
Ubisoft Press Conference – Far Cry 5
Despite always being the but of everyone’s jokes – especially with their new logo – Ubisoft has the potential to steal the show with the Rumored Assassin’s Creed: Origins, but that’s not even the best thing they could show off. Every since images confirmed it’s existence, fans have been going nuts over the Far Cry 5 content that has shown of the games upcoming setting (Montana), so debuting actual in-game footage would blow the roof of the building. The Ubisoft E3 conference will take place Monday 12 June, 1 pm Pacific Time (9 pm UK time).
Sony Press Conference – God of War
Playstation fans are some of the most dedicated gamers in the entire ecosystem, and it seems the company rewards them for that with phenomenal exclusives. One of Sony’s first and most successful exclusive franchise was the God of War series, and while it’s seen its fair share of criticism over the past couple installments, Playstation fanboys have been drooling at the mouth to get back on the stick and kick some God ass with Kratos (and his son). The Sony press conference will take place Monday 12 June, 6 pm Pacific Time (2 am UK time, 13th)
Nintendo Press Conference – Super Mario Odyssey
Last but not least is most gamers first love, Nintendo, who are coming off a huge release with their new Switch gaming system and Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The only game that could possibly rival more news on the Legend of Zelda game is, of course, Super Mario: Odyssey which showed off a few its new features in its announcement trailer, but could really hook fans with more news being released at the conference! The Nintendo E3 conference will take place Tuesday 13 June, 9 am Pacific Time (5 pm UK time).
