During Sony’s E3 2017 press conference, they released a new trailer for Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite, where at the end of the video it’s revealed that there is a story demo available for download. The trailer also shows a variety of new characters that we hadn’t seen before tonight, including Gamora, Dante from Devil May Cry, Zero from the Mega Man X games, and Black Panther. That’s a whole lot of new characters that we had no idea would be in the game until now. Check out the trailer below.

The story of the game–I’m still surprised that there’s this much depth to the story–revolves around a bunch of alliances made to defeat Ultron Sigma. The trailer shows these alliances congregating at Stark Tower, where Thanos is being held, in hopes that they can all formulate a plan to take down this powerful adversary. At the end of the trailer, we see that Thanos has been unlocked from his cell. This could only mean one thing: the heroes have decided that Ultron Sigma is too powerful for them to handle, so they were left with no choice but to release Thanos from his prison.

Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite is set to release on September 19 of this year, so stay posted for any more information about the game as we move forward. Also, make sure to download that story demo for the game when it’s possible to do so!
