State of Decay 2 will be coming to Xbox One (and most likely Xbox One X) and Windows 10 in the spring of 2018. This announcement was one of the many to be made at Xbox’s E3 briefing today. The game was originally announced at last year’s E3 event, with the intention to have more details by this year’s E3. That they did.
Not only did Xbox provide some more details on the game, but they also left fans with a lengthy gameplay video, which readers can view below. There appears to be a cooperative mode, which will be a first for the franchise as a whole.

Back in April, it was revealed that State of Decay 2 would feature three difference maps on launch, all around the same size as the one from the first installment. The use of three different maps will expand the gameplay to beyond what players are used to. Not only that, but it’ll also make the coop mode more interesting to take part in. If this holds true come spring of next year, then players will be in for quite the treat. The zombie apocalypse seems to be a reoccurring theme nowadays, but the State of Decay franchise has ensured that their games provide players with a thrilling adventure they won’t forget.
