If Microsoft ended with a bang, PlayStation opened up with a bigger bang. Naughty Dog has just released a new trailer for The Last of Us Part 2.

Gustavo Santaolalla captivates the audiences’ ears with a playing a slight variation of The Last of Us‘ main theme. The audience knows it is just a matter of time that they are shown actual footage of one of the most anticipated games ever.

The tent-like environment in which Gustavo was playing the guitar is where the trailer for the game opens up with. We see an all-grown-up Ellie looking at the people dance and full of life. So different from the bleak story we were treated throughout the first game.

We then see Ellie enjoying a moment of peace and intimate moment with an all-new character.

“Oh Ellie, I think they should be terrified of you.” Right before they kiss.

The scene then transitions to some gameplay as to why we should be terrified of Ellie.

Fans are given with a double treat as the trailer does not only offer story details, but it also shows us gameplay of the game as well.

We see Ellie with her trusty bow, trying to stealthy kill her enemies. She is ruthless and with no hints of giving any mercy to her enemies. The gameplay very much retains the combat we are familiar with. Ellie also uses the trusty crafting tool when she opens her backpack.

Check out the trailer below!

Naughty Dog previously unveiled the sequel to the award-winning game back in 2017.  As of the moment, there has been no release date yet revealed. However, this trailer only served to hype up more the game.
