The much anticipated We Happy Few from Compulsion Games is finally set to release this summer on August 10, 2018. After re-thinking the trajectory of the story, Compulsion also released a brand new trailer at E3 2018 along with the release date.

After being continually criticized for their lack of titles, Microsoft has created a new studio entitled The Initiative. This new studio is a conglomerate of various smaller studios brought together, and Compulsion Games is one of the chosen few. They are joined by Playground Games, Undead Labs, and few other studios. The Initiative is being run by Crystal Dynamics’ former head of studio Darrell Gallagher
Taking place in an alternative dystopian timeline, We Happy Few focuses on a drugged people. By consuming the drug, Joy, the people are unaware of their horrific living conditions and the violent space in which they live. The story focuses on three characters in particular who have become aware of their deplorable conditions.
