The closed beta version of EA Sports FC 24 has recently made its way into various internal databases at Microsoft, indicating that the beta release is just around the corner. A data miner with a reliable track record, Aggiornamenti Lumia, has come across information that the EA Sports FC 24 Closed beta has been added to Microsoft’s internal systems, the source of the leak. These findings strongly hint at an official announcement from the recently split Electronic Arts happening very soon.
Following a pattern similar to FIFA 23, which got its first official trailer on July 20, 2022, it is quite probable that EA Sports FC 24 will follow a similar timeline in terms of its announcement. In April 2023, EA said that more details about EA Sports FC would be shared in July, so it would make a lot of sense.
Nick Wlodyka, the Senior Vice President and General Manager of EA Sports FC, shared his excitement in a press release, saying:
“This marks the beginning of EA Sports FC’s story. We’re building upon our 30 years of leadership and experience in creating immersive experiences that bring the global football community together. We’re dedicated to taking it into the future with a fan-centric approach. EA SPORTS FC will represent the sport as a symbol of innovation and change. We can’t wait to reveal more about what’s to come in July.”
EA Sports FC 24 Closed Beta Leak
While the data miner could not give precise file sizes for the PlayStation version of the game or for PC, as the leak was from a Microsoft-related source, they did, however, reveal the following game sizes for the beta on
- EA Sports FC24 CLOSED beta (Xbox Series X) | 41.57GB
- EA Sports FC24 CLOSED beta (Xbox One) | 39.23GB
It would be pretty reasonable to assume that the file sizes will remain somewhat similar for the PlayStation versions of the game. In April 2023, it was officially announced that EA Sports FC would be replacing the long-running FIFA series, with the first game from the new franchise expected to release later this year.
