eFootball 2024 Season 3 Adds Singleplayer “My League” Content, Multiplayer Modes, & More

Plenty to keep us busy.

Konami has unveiled firm details on its final update of 2024 for eFootball, and it’s much meatier than we first thought. The features of Version 3.2.0 were first teased last week, but the final contents include a bunch of additional content and changes that should come as a welcome surprise for players.

While Masters League was not among them, there’s finally a big new update to its single-player offering that old-school PES fans will appreciate. Elsewhere, 3.2.0 also focuses on improving online gameplay features, adding new modes, challenges, and skills that tidy up its multiplayer.

My League Mode & New Booster Headline 3.2 eFootball Update

The highlight of the update is the introduction of ‘My League,’ a dynamic game mode where players compete against AI-controlled clubs from leagues worldwide. Showcased in the trailer above, it allows users to experience a full season, including weather effects, new cutscenes, and a trophy celebration for the season’s winners. Players can continuously engage in this mode, switching leagues each season for a varied experience.

Those who prefer to stick online can look forward to improvements there too. Following on from Season 2 which introduced new Club Packs, there are additions to cards; specifically, a new booster. Called the ‘Power of Many’ Booster, it grows in effectiveness based on specific player combinations in the user’s Game Plan.

During a hands-off preview session earlier this week, The Nerd Stash was told that this feature was said to encourage strategic team-building, rewarding players for clever roster selections based on the Booster’s Activation Condition.

Enhanced Co-op Mode

efootball also enhances its Co-op mode, now allowing solo players to join others in match rooms, forming 3v3 teams. This update fosters community building through in-game emoji interactions, adding a social dimension to the gameplay. From December 7 to 21, players in Co-op mode can earn exclusive rewards, including Skills Training Programmes for their Dream Teams.

Regardless of which mode you play, you can take advantage of a new skill called ‘Blitz Curler.’ This allows for precise, powerful shots, adding a new tactical layer for attack-minded players. The higher the skill ceiling, the better, right?

Daily Log-in Mini-Games

Elsewhere, the update introduces daily log-in mini-games, offering players the chance to win team-enhancing items or new players. Consistent participation throughout the month unlocks rewards, including draws for Epic players. So often live-service packages default to handing out rewards simply for logging in, but Konami explained to us that its intention with mini-games is to create a more engaging ecosystem for players that provides new activities daily.

eFootball Championship 2024: New Tournaments

Finally, The eFootball Championship 2024 will expand with two events: the traditional eFootball Championship Open and the new eFootball Championship Club Event. The Club Event will have online qualifiers and a final round to select representatives for each club at the World Finals. The first Club Event, featuring FC Barcelona, commences on December 11th, offering exclusive in-game rewards and club merchandise.

So there we have it. Konami certainly has had its work cut out recouping lost ground from eFootball’s rocky launch, and fans will undoubtedly want to see its offline content strengthened over the coming months, but Update 3.2.0 definitely packs more of a punch than we originally thought.
