The recent Colosseum update for Elden Ring fixed up plenty of issues while introducing a new game mode to explore. Players were quick to join the gladiator ranks of PvP matchmaking, aiming to prove themselves to be the next true Elden Lord. However, as with every new wave of content comes new problems. Bandai Namco recently posted a brief round of patch notes to support the 1.08 Colosseum update.
This update requires online play to be active. Expect only a couple of changes to apply for Elden Ring version 1.08.1. The update is live for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
Elden Ring Update 1.08.1 Patch Notes
Game changes
– Fixed a bug that changed crouching attack behavior of right-handed weapons when holding specific weapons in the left hand.
– Fixed a bug that prevented other players’ positions from being displayed correctly on the compass and the map during multiplayer sessions aside from the Colosseums.
The version number of this update shown at the lower right corner of the Title Screen will be as follows:
App Ver. 1.08.1
Regulation Ver. 1.08.1
For the uninformed, the Colosseum update provides a new multiplayer feature for players to enjoy. Take a break from the wretched creatures that roam the Lands Between and bring your skills to the arena against other Tarnished. Update 1.08 previously made adjustments to gameplay stability and balancing, while also adding in some hairstyles to boot. The Colosseum update is just one of the first updates to come to Elden Ring that adds additional content. Fans can expect more DLC to arrive in 2023 for 2022’s Game of the Year.
