Despite the game being out for a while and no shortage of diehard Elden Ring players to gnash their teeth against it, new limits are just now being pushed in Elden Ring. A player with just about 800 hours logged into the game finally managed to get one of their characters to the maximum level allowed within the game. Similar to other FromSoftware titles, Elden Ring has a leveling system just like Dark Souls and other such titles. Instead of using souls, though, you use runes. (Although we all know you still call them souls, c’mon.)
Once they have enough souls to level up, an Elden Ring player can go to a Site of Grace (bonfire) to level up and improve their stats. Leveling up, for those who don’t know, has higher requirements the more you do it. So that means getting to the top isn’t the easiest task. This is more complicated by the fact that if you die, your souls, runes, whatever they are to you, are dropped on the spot. Getting to the highest level requires an absolutely absurd amount of them. Despite all the odds, some dedicated players out there have managed to reach the top-level spots through sweat and likely some tears.
Elden Ring Player Reaches Maximum Level…How Many Hours?
The maximum Elden Ring player level is 713. We meant it when we said that it takes a massive amount of runes to get there. It takes 1,692,558,415 runes in total to scale up to that level. One of the most recent visitors to reach the maximum number of hours was Elden Ring player and Reddit user Fireman_Artsen, who completed the feat after just under 800 hours.
There’s a chance that the next installment that FromSoftware will bring to Elden Ring will also bring a higher level cap. It’s only a possibility, though, not a confirmed reveal, which means those clutching onto that crown of making the achievement won’t have to worry much. Because players can get every achievement without reaching the max level, adding some more levels on would only benefit the truly diehard (or perhaps deranged, depending on how you look at it).
