Elizabeth Hurley largely received love for sharing her glamorous swimming pool breakfast on Instagram this week, but not everyone sent approval. The model and actress, 58, exuded glam vibes as she enjoyed a massive food tray from a private pool while enjoying her Maldives breakfast today, and she didn’t take long to have some fans asking if she really eats all those carbs.
Earlier this year, the Netflix star made headlines for revealing the secret to her figure. Telling fans that she doesn’t eat “too much” or “too often,” Hurley further shared that she’s strict when it comes to “junk” food. Clearly, some of her followers were spotting less-than-healthy items on Liz’s breakfast menu.

Defying her age as she sizzled in an animal-print bathing suit, Liz happily floated around as she picked at items all neatly laid out on a large floating tray.
Soaking up the tropical atmosphere and showing her morning appetite, the Estee Lauder ambassador had been served a breakfast fit for a king. The tray included fresh waffles, sausages, a yogurt and granola parfait, plus plenty of fresh-cut fruits, eggs, and a fruit smoothie. Liz scooped out the parfait with a spoon as she showed herself eating various items from the tray, with her 2 million+ fans also seeing her chomp away at a sausage and sip at her smoothie.
Fans Don’t Believe She Really Eats That
In a caption, Hurley wrote: “Breakfast – Maldives style” with a heart emoji. Quick to challenge the star was a fan replying: “Oh Elisabeth [sic]! No way you are eating all those carbs and sugar!!” Others liked the comment.
Another fan, appearing to have watched the footage carefully, claimed that while Hurley did place the food items into her mouth, she “did not swallow.” Others, meanwhile, merely praised the model for looking so youthful as she approaches 60. “She looks amazing at 58 years old,” one user said.
In her January 2024 reveal, Hurley had stated: “I don’t drink weird green juices or shakes and only take supplements if a blood test tells me I’m lacking something.”
Alongside revealing balancing things like sandwiches out with fruit, the blue-eyed beauty had told her fans that she pretty much eats anything, but gets careful over “junk.”
“I count junk food as anything that contains any ingredient that I don’t have in my own kitchen, so that includes ‘diet’ and ‘low-fat’ everything, all ready meals, all bought sandwiches, cakes and biscuits and all sodas,” she continued.
In addition, the star makes excellent use of her breadmaker and even bakes one loaf of bread per day.
