The Tesla Takedown movement might have gone too far with its latest act of protest. Nationwide, citizens’ rising displeasure with Elon Musk and the Trump administration has resulted in attacks on his electronic vehicle company. Tesla cars and Cybertrucks are being vandalized, with protests going down at dealerships. However, a recent incident in Las Vegas might be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.
Early Tuesday morning, the Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report of a fire outbreak at a Tesla service center. Around 2:45 am, several vehicles were set ablaze at the Tesla Collision Center in the 6000 block of West Badura Avenue. Video of the alarming incident shows a parking lot with several white and black Tesla vehicles in flames. The roaring fire even triggered an electrical spark from one of the cars.
“Communications received information that an individual had set several vehicles on fire in the parking lot and caused damage to the property,” the police department said.
As an investigation commences, the FBI confirmed to the Las Vegas Review-Journal that they have personnel on the scene. In the meantime, Tesla owner, Elon Musk, has come out to condemn the vicious attack. Quoting the viral video on X, which he owns, the tech billionaire wrote:
“This level of violence is insane and deeply wrong. Tesla just makes electric cars and has done nothing to deserve these evil attacks.”
The incident is believed to be a terror attack, but nothing is conclusive yet. However, Tesla owners are tired of living in terror and publicly joining Musk to fight back. Many point fingers against the Democrats, blaming them for playing dirty.
“This is definitely terrorism aimed at instilling fear in people who drive Teslas,” one fan theorized.
“The party of environmentalists are burning electric vehicles, which end up polluting the air… Can’t make this up,” another comment read.
“The tolerant left on full display,” a third user slammed. “They’re so tolerant they will fire bomb YOUR car because they disagree with the political views of the guy who made it.”
However, some Democrats have fired back, citing the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot as an incident where Republicans displayed violence.
“Looks like car shopping to me… just like January 6 looks like a love fest to others,” this user defended.
“He’s fvcking around now; he’s finding out. It’s really not more complicated than that,” one user justified the attack.
The case is still ongoing, and no details have been released about the suspect and their motive. However, violence can never be the answer to the troubles of the nation.
