When is Elon Musk ever in the news for something good? It seems that whenever anyone hears about him, regardless of the space or industry, what follows is just a slew of hateful or ignorant words. The latest round of stupidity from Mr. Musk comes from an online crash out he had against New Brunswick streamer HasanAbi. The latter posted about Assassin’s Creed Shadows on Twitter, Musk’s social media platform, in an advertisement promoting the game to his millions of followers. This bothered the Tesla mogul as he took it upon himself to comment on a post criticizing HasanAbi for promoting the game.
In the Tweet, Elon Musk says that “Hasan is a fraud” followed by “Sell-out” would be more accurate. Objectively, he is promoting a terrible game just for the money.” As a person currently playing Assassin’s Creed Shadows and loving every second of it, it’s clear that Musk has not played the game. It seems that the Ubisoft franchise did not have any of this slander because they decided to stand up to Musk. How they did it is what’s incredibly hilarious: a tweet made by the Assassin’s Creed X account that says,
“Is that what the guy playing yout Path of Exile 2 account told you?”
If you didn’t know, Elon Musk was recently accused of cheating in Path of Exile 2 when his hardcore character died. For players playing when his character, Percy_Verence, died, it was noted that he was incredibly highly ranked on the online hardcore leaderboards alongside several of his other characters. This led players to believe that Musk either paid someone to get him that far or had different people playing his account.
The clapback from the Assassin’s Creed account shows precisely whose side they are on in the war against wokeness, as Musk claims. Alongside this clapback, HasanAbi made his own response video, similarly bashing the Tesla mogul. Hopefully, Must will think twice before he shares an unpopular opinion on X.
