Elon Musk sends his fans into a flurry of excitement as he threatens to take legal action against Tim Walz, the Governor of Minnesota, who also was a vice-presidential candidate during the 2024 election. During an interview with MSNBC, Walz claims that three days were spent trying to debate whether the SpaceX CEO did the Nazi salute at Trump’s inauguration, to which the governor states, “Of course he did.”
The clip of Tim Walz making this accusation against Elon Musk was shared on X by user @robbystarbuck, who said he “hopes Elon sues him for all he’s worth.” It didn’t take long for the Path of Exile 2 cheater to respond directly to the post with, “I think I will. Tim Walz is a creepy.” Critics of the Minnesota politician and fans of Musk quickly flooded the comments, cheering in agreement with the “Technoking of Tesla.”
“Governor Tim Walz is a habitual liar and needs to be punished,” spits out a Walz hater. “I believe it would be a public service,” seconds another. “That’s what needs to happen! And not just him! Every outlet that airs those ridiculous lies should be held to account,” said a third, referring to how news anchors on CNN also accused Elon Musk of doing the Nazi salute. Dozens of others reacted to the Neuralink co-founder with the overwhelming response of “Do it!“
Desiring nothing more than to enjoy the chaos, plenty more fans and followers cheered Musk on to go through with the lawsuit — not for justice, but for entertainment. “Yeah have some fun!” says one commenter. “OHH THIS IS GOOD,” laughs another, posting the gif of Michael Jackson eating popcorn alongside his comment. “Do it. Do it for us. The entertainment value,” begs a third. Needless to say, there’s no shortage of people who’d absolutely love to see Musk sue Tim Walz if nothing more, but for the memes and chuckles.
Of course, not all followers of Elon Musk were thrilled to hear about his threat to the Governor of Minnesota. “He can sue me too. I also accuse him of the same,” remarks a Reddit user on r/centrist, with dozens of users upvoting in agreement. “The great fighter of absolute free speech is considering suing someone for their speech,” chimes in another, referring to how ironic they feel the situation is. “Musk is such a spoiled terminally online brat. If he wasn’t so dangerous for humanity it would be funny,” comments a third.
Whatever Elon Musk plans to actually do, it’s rather clear he could care less about what the public thinks of him. Whether it’s cheating in a video game and being proud of it or making controversial comments on social media, the billionaire must feel like he’s unstoppable. This is especially so, seeing now that Musk has gotten directly involved with politics, along with support from the White House itself.
That said, whether or not the Tesla CEO sues Tim Walz, it’s all a win-win situation for him. His fans and Trump supporters will sing his praises, while haters and critical news outlets will simply provide him with more publicity. Truly, it is a great year for Musk.
