Legendary music icon Elton John‘s health continues to decline rapidly, and the singer reflects on his life. He is in a bad way, mentally and physically. John admits that he has made many bad choices when it comes down to it. So, he has no one to blame but himself.
Elton John’s declining health remains a topic of interest to his fans. The singer has undergone numerous serious medical issues and emergencies over the years. Despite surviving them all, Elton claims he has brought most of it on himself. It is taking a significant toll on him, so much so that his children fear that he is close to death.
Sources tell Radar Online that Elton breaks down in tears and weeps daily. It is eating away at him inside. “Elton wishes he could have those years back and wishes he’d never taken cocaine all those years ago.
“The drugs and booze have ravaged his body and he knows they’ve taken years from his life and those are years he could have spent with his sons and husband. He sheds tears for his poor choices each day.”
Elton and his family know that the singer is in poor health. They have discussed his mortality and what the eventual outcome will be. Elton knows that his days are numbered, and his young sons fear his demise.
“They think about myย mortality. They worry about my mortality. The kids want me to be around forever, and I would love to be around forever.” John wishes the same but knows the reality of his situation will not allow that. His last wish at this time, the father of two reveals, “On my gravestone, all I want it to say is, ‘he was a great dad.’
Elton John Blames Claims Mistake Is Being Made In Legalizing Marijuana
After 60 years in the entertainment business, Elton John claims he has learned a few things. He wishes he could turn back the clock and redo his life. During a recent interview with Time Magazine, John stated, “Legalizing marijuana in America and Canada is one of the greatest mistakes of all time. I maintain that it’s addictive,” he said. “It leads to other drugs. And when you’re stonedโand I’ve been stonedโyou don’t think normally.”
Elton John, though sober for many years now, reveals he has seen firsthand what drugs can do to destroy someone. He feels strongly about the subject and hopes that his experience and his current health battles will deter others from messing up their lives as severely as he did.
He claims that he firmly believes marijuana use leads to more significant problems with harder drugs and feels he is living proof. Elton says his use of marijuana led him down a dark path with cocaine and booze.
“This is how bleak it was: I’d stay up, I’d smoke joints, I’d drink a bottle of Johnnie Walker, and then I’d stay up for three days, and then I’d go to sleep for a day and a half, get up, and because I was so hungry because I hadn’t eaten anything,” he said.
His addictions also cost him his health. Elton firmly believed his drug and alcohol use shaved years off of his life. Years he would love to have back now that he is a father. He accepts his fate.
However, it breaks his heart to think he won’t be around to see his children grow up and marry. It is heartbreaking for John and his family. No one knows for sure how much time they may have left. But for now, Elton plans to take each day one at a time and make them all count.
