The icon has been subject to internet scrutiny on various occasions owing to her penchant for posing for risque photoshoots in line with her modeling career. The drama surrounding her outfit choices further worsened after the star called out those sexualizing her in an interview. Her criticism prompted most to dub her a hypocrite, never missing a chance to rub it in with each photo she shares.

While Emily has refrained from addressing the bashful remarks tagging her as a hypocrite, she shared her perspective on the subject in her recent interview with Vogue Australia. Gracing the front pages of the famed magazine, the model posed for various stunning snaps, flaunting her trim physique in various stylish outfits. The mom of one shared one of these epic photos to her 30.2 million Instagram followers on Friday.
The photos showed Emily Ratajkowski posing topless, with only a metallic gold neckpiece concealing her nips. Additionally, she matched her neckpiece with a gold skirt, which had golden spike details adorning it for an electrifying effect. Emily opted for smokey-eye makeup in the pics, styling her brunette locks in a bun. In the photos, the supermodel posed in what appeared to be an empty room, leaning on one side of the worn-out walls.
While the first shot gave a closeup look of her upper torso in the topless look, the next captured Emily Ratajkowski’s full-length. She shared the same snap to her Instagram stories, captioning it with a link to her interview with Vogue Australia. The interview covered the star’s account of some of the tipping points in her career, including the 2021 release of her book, My Body.
Emily Talks Motherhood, Divorce and Sexualizing Her Image
According to Emily, writing the book at the time was her way of once again taking charge of her own life and image following years of over-sexualization and commercialization. Emily Ratajkowski proffered the closest thing to an explanation she could about her continued sharing of seemingly provocative photos like her latest topless shot despite preaching against sexualizing women, writing,
“The truth is that the reason that I was even able to publish my book and write about the things that I did was because I have 30 million followers from basically sexualizing myself. So it is important to realise that there is a level that you can gain as a woman by playing that game and hustling the system.”
Aside from the downsides of her career, Emily Ratajkowski discussed her past pregnancy and the birth of her son Sylvester. She also dished on motherhood and her divorce from her ex-husband Sebastian Bear-McClard. These experiences contributed to shaping Emily into the woman she has become today, one who trusts her instincts and isn’t scared to surrender to her own body.
