Emily Ratajkowski was met with criticism and, to an extent, a level of body-shaming as she posed for a beach-set shoot three days ago. The 32-year-old supermodel is signed to lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret, and it was staycation vibes as she discussed her summer 2024 energy while modeling a skimpy swimsuit and patterned sarong.
Quickly seeing users honing in on a specific body part, Emily was told that her waist area was “distracting” — in particular, it was the star’s belly button causing all the drama in the comments. Emily, who runs her own Inamorata swimwear line, joins celebrities including model Hailey Bieber and actress Priyanka Chopra in fronting the VS Collective.
Emily Ratajkowksi Shows Instagram Her Victoria’s Secret Vibes
Chatting away as she told fans that “if summer were an outfit, it would be a bikini,” Emily was filmed sitting down from a lush, cushioned outdoor seating area as she flaunted her six-pack abs and killer curves while modeling a bandeau-style swimwear top in black.
Adding in a colorful skirt sarong for a little cover, the mom of one was then filmed strolling across a gorgeous sand beach, wearing her skirt low-rise and belted to accentuate her defined hips and reminding fans of her jaw-dropping, Amazonian frame. The brunette completed her beachy look via black thong sandals that matched her bikini top as she sported her locks down and let the breeze blow them around.
Told Belly Button Is ‘Distracting’
In a caption, VS quoted Emily, writing: “If summer were an outfit, it would be a bikini, of course.” We could not agree more, @emrata.”
The most-liked comment is now the one simply reading: “Her belly button is distracting.” Another agreed that EmRata is “beautiful but yes her belly button.” Sensing insecurity from the OP, a further fan replied: “What a small and jealous person you are.”
Emily has actually opened up about her belly button. It looks like the model is aware that hers is a little unusual.
“I love my belly button because it’s very unique. It’s sort of a half-innie-outie. I got made fun of for it in elementary school, so it was a long road to loving my belly button,” Emily told Today, adding: “I remember being very triggered hearing that “it looks like a peace sign” when I was, like, 7 years old. Or I would hear, “Oh, what happened to your mom when she had you,” or “What went wrong when you were born that you have such a weird belly button.” And now I kind of love those comments; I like to poke fun at myself for it.”
