Emily Ratajkowski has sparked backlash over her recent Instagram photos. The supermodel, who has made August headlines for enjoying a luxurious Italy vacation, updated her feed last weekend, where it was heavy on the swimsuit action.
Displaying her figure in an array of stylish bathing suits, Emily earned over 600,000 fan likes, but the response was mixed in the comments. Some fans threw Emily shade, alleging that her constant body flaunting in tiny outfits directly contradicts her statements as a feminist. The My Body author, who has stated that women should not be objectified, was called out by one fan, who went sarcastic as they asked how the statement stands up when Emily is posing in a two-piece. Emily’s travels have, separately, made the news on account of her going public with new boyfriend Dr Orazio Rispo. Emily smooched the 35-year-old on a beach last week.
Emily Ratajkowski Raises Eyebrows With Instagram Photos From Italy
Opening her gallery with a cheeky display as she modeled an animal-print bathing suit, Emily shared a view of her famous physique, plus the gorgeous views she was enjoying. Her poolside snap was followed by plenty more swimwear moments, some of which featured her son, Sylvester. The Gucci ambassador shares her four-year-old with ex-husband Sebastian Bear-McClard.
The gallery also included food as Emily made the most of Italy’s famous cuisine, but few comments seemed to center around this. In a caption, the brunette wrote: “Grazie villa san giacomo,” which translates to a “thank you” toward the villa hosting her. Celebrity likes were left by model Lori Harvey and supermodel Bella Hadid.
Says ‘Don’t Objectify Me’ But Poses In These Looks?
Quick to send Emily shade, one fan wrote: “Love the pics .. but I need to understandโฆ you donโt want to be objectifiedโฆ butโฆ are we being gaslighted lol.” Over 60 others liked the reply.
“No one should objectify no one because we are humans, but sometimes they do to themselves, im@just saying that’s not an excuse to dehumanize people, it’s just a truth,” another said. Emily was also hated on by a fan saying they wondered if she’s ever “recognized” with any clothes on. Emily has criticized the objectification of women in her 2016 “Baby Woman” essay and, more extensively, in her My Body book. Her Instagram fans regularly tear her apart for stripping down on the platform while continuing to preach her feminist agenda.
“This girl never wearing clothes,” another user mockingly wrote, adding a laughing emoji. Elsewhere, fans teased Emily for her newly debuted romance. One troll asked the mom of one if she’s “always had bad taste” when it comes to men. Emily ended her marriage to 2018-married Sebastian in 2022. Afterwards, she famously had a fling with comedian Pete Davidson.
