With the rise of social media, videos of public encounters have become increasingly more popular, especially on apps like TikTok. However, while there can be some very positive interactions filmed, for the most part, these videos are pretty negative. Unfortunately, this is exactly what happens in a recently posted TikTok video, as a group of Chicago-era college students were extremely rude to a complete stranger. The woman would then record them as the clip has around 220K likes and 1.8 million views.
The TikTok begins with a group of boys already in an argument with the woman recording them. They were allegedly saying sexually explicit things to the woman as well as just generally being rude to everyone inside the gas station, according to the video’s caption. As the video continues, the group of guys starts to get louder and more aggressive towards the woman, as one can be heard yelling, “Go Bears,” for some reason. He then goes on a little bit of a tangent about how much he loves the city of Chicago, Illinois. The boy, doing all of the talking, then finally decided to whip out his phone to start recording the woman who had been recording him.
TikTok Roasts Rude Illinois College Students
However, despite how he and his friends think they look in this situation, the TikTok comment section didn’t pull any punches when it came to their feelings about this group of guys. “Ask them to read a paragraph out loud,” joked one. “Are they TWELVE?” asked another. Finally, one other commenter called them “Insecure men who weren’t raised right and don’t know how to behave.”
The boys in the background then begin to yell about the woman’s weight as one can be heard telling her to “Get skinny, it’s not that hard.” Later, he can also be heard telling her to “Just lose 20 pounds.” This altercation would allegedly stem from the 711 clerk asking the group of Illinois students to leave the store. However, they would not, and according to the woman recording, they were being racist towards the employee.
The TikTok then cuts off as the group of college students finally leaves the Illinois 711. Unfortunately for everyone involved, though, it took them being denied service for them to leave. Although the other customers were also getting sick of them and were trying to convince them to get lost as well. While nobody was hurt in this altercation, behavior like this seems to be almost normalized by many young men. Hopefully, those young men were able to learn a valuable lesson and can work on themselves going forward.
