There are some videos that I’ll see and immediately ask myself, ‘What was that person thinking?’ This seems to be especially the case whenever a video involves road rage. One such incident involving an entitled man and a few police officers was recorded on a cop’s body cam and later reposted to Reddit. Don’t people realize by now that if you play dumb games, you’ll win dumb prizes?
The video is from the point of view of an officer’s body cam, facing towards a busy sliver of highway. While the officers direct the flow of traffic, you can see a Jeep swerve out of the line and try to pass the cars ahead of it. Unfortunately for them, the officers also spotted him swerving and tried to confront him, demanding his driver’s license.
Instead of complying with the officer, the entitled man in the Jeep drives off erratically, forcing the police to follow. For some strange reason, the Jeep makes a u-turn and begins to drive toward the officers, forcing them to follow it on foot. Eventually, the debacle turns into an automotive chase. When the officer driving reached the man in the Jeep, he was upset, and he had a Taser at the ready. Then, he aimed the Taser at the man and fired.
The comments filled up quickly with replies concerning the man’s actions. One person was even able to confirm that the man was drunk, as they learned on the news.
“FYI he was drunk. It was in the news.”
Others were quick to question the man’s actions. More specifically, why he turned around and decided to sit in the middle of the road after driving away from officers.
“I don’t understand why he drove off initially then turned around and sat there?”
Hopefully, no one was seriously injured by the man’s actions. It’s good that by the end of the video, we know the officer who apprehended him was the same as the one he drove away from. If that’s not karma, I don’t know what is.
