Videos of employees dealing with demanding customers have popped up all over social media in recent years, and that’s precisely what this Texas Walmart Karen put this young man through. In a recently posted TikTok video, viewers see the altercation unfold. The clip has around 200 likes and 8K views, as it continues to trend towards viral status.
The TikTok video opens up with a woman attempting to return some merchandise to the Walmart customer service desk. However, it is made clear right away that the funds will not be transferred back to her card. Instead, the employee has informed Karen that the store would like to offer her in-store credit or a gift card. Although she would not have any of this, and would immediately move to complain in a pretty rude way. The Texas woman then turns to the line of people waiting behind her and asks, “Does that make sense to y’all?”

The TikTok comment section would then begin to flame the woman for her behavior, as many would let their feelings be known. “I used to work retail; customers just don’t get it,” wrote one. “Take it up with corporate,” suggested another. The video’s caption also explains the woman as “Entitled,” as well as having “No shame.” Finally, one of the commenters pointed out, “I get it, but employees don’t make the rules.” It would seem as though many social media users are not happy with how this woman chose to handle things.
As the TikTok continues, tempers also continue to flare. The Texas woman in the video seems not to understand why they can’t just refund her the money. However, the man behind the counter has stated many times throughout the video that he isn’t the one doing it. The system that the company uses can only give her store credit or a gift card, and not an actual refund of her money. Yet, despite the man repeating himself so many times, it seems to be to no avail.
The Texas Walmart Karen then states, “Crazy.” Despite her constant complaints, she still doesn’t get what she wants. The man behind the counter also showed a lot of patience and a good work ethic while attempting to help this disgruntled customer. Hopefully, the woman in the video can learn from this experience. Behaving like that under any circumstances is bad enough, but in public? That’s just a little embarrassing.
