The holiday season is a time when there seem to be a lot more people out and about. While for many, this could mean time to catch up with people you run into, watch families shop together, or even enjoy the ambience of a busy venue. However, for others, it means letting their mean and nasty attitudes get the better of them. That’s exactly what happened recently in Texas with an older woman who went full Karen on a fellow shopper in a parking garage.
The video, which was posted by @adriennechristine, starts off with the older woman cursing and slapping away the younger woman’s phone. “Don’t be taking [expletive] pictures of me,” she states. When the woman recording tries to explain that someone hit the side of her car with their car door, the Karen denies it all. Meanwhile, the woman sitting next to the elderly lady in the back is seen mouthing her apologies.
The Karen continues to ramble on, which leads the woman recording to ask if she’s okay or if she might be drunk. “Don’t record that, what your saying,” the Karen fired back. She even claims to work for the Houston Police Department and threatens to call them. Finally, the woman’s younger family members return to the car to see the scene and ask questions. “What’s going on?” someone can be heard saying off-camera.
Texas Woman Goes Into Karen Mode During Parking Lot Confrontation
In Part 2 of the video series, the woman in the car refuses to give up her fight, her family member outside finally tells her to “stop it” and “roll up the window.” The female family member is then told to “get in the car” by a man who seemed to be her husband. The husband then told the woman recording to “have a good night,” before copping his own attitude. “No harm, no foul,” he says.
As the video concludes, the Texas Karen is again seen rolling down her window. This time she has her phone in her hand to record before being yelled at to roll up the window once more. “Say you voted for Trump without saying you voted for Trump,” one person said in the comment section of the clip.
In the caption of the video, the woman explains the situation in more detail. “A woman in the backseat accidentally hit my car getting out of there car. I told her she hit my car, she apologized. She went into the store with her male friend. I finished what I was doing in my car and was walking across the street when Patty then proceeded to yell slurs out the window and called me over to her car,” she wrote.
“She then called me a [expletive] and almost damaged my property (again) — my phone. My car was damaged initially though I was not going to press charges. She then threatened me with her place of employment being Houston Police Department. All on video. If someone calls you to their car, you need to record to protect yourself!!!!!!!! She was too comfortable acting like this and didn’t show an ounce of accountability,” the TikToker added.
It’s unclear how the situation ended. However, if the Karen really does work for the Houston, Texas Police Department, she may want to try to stay out of the online drama going forward.
