For those of you that aren’t regular Escape From Tarkov players or if you decided to put the game down for a while, you’d be surprised to know that EFT was hacked recently. But Battlestate Games quickly went online to address concerns regarding the hack. They tried to explain the situation and addressed the EFT userbase
Escape From Tarkov Was Hacked – You Heard It
It was reported earlier today by Logistical Solutions that Battlestate Games’ Escape From Tarkov was hacked. It was pretty obvious from the get-go, as reported by the online content creator. Players were flagged with an important message that read, ” Hack by [Zelenka Guru Keeferga] and [ Zelenka Guru member 3878653]”.
For those of you that don’t know, Zelenka Guru is a Russian forum that serves as a hub for a number of hacks and exploits and works as an account marketplace. While we aren’t native to the hacking side of things, it seems pretty evident that members of the site orchestrated the Escape From Tarkov hack and are proud of it.
If you’re concerned about your player data, personal information, and IP being compromised, then you’re in the right. But the devs over at Battlestate Games have addressed the attack and stated that it was only the breaking news section that was affected. According to Battlestate, the situation is under control.
The launcher, game client, game servers, and game account data are safe and have not been affected.”
But fans aren’t satisfied. They scrutinized Battlstate for their lack of security despite the onslaught of complaints regarding the game’s iffy game mechanics and broken state. Cheaters are rampant despite the anti-cheat working overtime. This goes to show that there’s a bigger issue at hand in EFT.
