Eva Longoria‘s “Flamin Hot,” a biopic film, blesses her with a new title— director. “The Young and the Restless” alum will have her work shown on Hulu later in the year. Longoria wears many hats on her head. Though she began her career as a guest star on “Dr. 90210,” her breakthrough role came in the early 2000s in “The Young and the Restless.”
Once she established herself as a mainstay on TV, Longoria moved to produce, and later bagged endorsement in advertising campaigns for L’Oréal and New York & Co. But at the moment, what the 47-year-old is concerning herself with is her directing chops. In 2020, she shared how she landed her first director gig.
Eva Longoria’s Flamin Hot, a biopic on Richard Montanez— her first job as a director was obtained after she received advice from “Desperate Housewives” producer Brian Tanen. The director learned to think like a white man which made her more eligible for the job. Longoria recalled, “it was a change in approach to every sentence that came out of my mouth.”

Eva Longoria’s “Flamin Hot” Debuts On Hulu
It has been over two years since she got the job, and Hulu revealed plans to debut Eva Longoria’s “Flamin’ Hot” film. The network will show the film on June 9. But for now, they have left fans with photos from the production. This announcement comes after news of its scheduled world premiere at SXSW Film Festival this March.
Interestingly this is not her only project. One of her latest is titled “Land of Women in Barcelona.” The director traveled to Barcelona, Spain, to film the story based on Sandra Barneda’s novel. Eva Longoria’s “Flamin’ Hot” centers on Montanez, a former janitor working at Frito-Lay’s Rancho Cucamonga, California factory in 1976.
After experiencing machine failure, he took some unflavored chips homes only to whip up the most tasteful recipe. Eventually, this led to a successful product launch. Cast members who worked closely with Longoria on this project included Jesse Garcia, Annie Gonzalez, Emilio Rivera, Tony Shalhoub, and Dennis Haysbert.
