Fans of space-flight games have no doubt had the singleplayer space combat game EVERSPACE in their repertoire. It may not be to the same scale as massively multiplayer titles like EVE Online and Elite Dangerous, but it’s a genuinely great space shooter that’s been quoted as equally fresh and rewarding. All of that for good reasons too, taking a look at some of the gameplay. The highly anticipated sequel to the game, EVERSPACE 2, has long been in development at ROCKFISH Games. Soon, it shall finally be in our hands. Rejoice, as EVERSPACE 2 enters Steam Early Access and GOG Games in Development on January 18! You can check out the beautiful looking trailer below.
EVERSPACE 2 will launch in Early Access with a plethora of content, including the first 12 hours of the story campaign. All of this will be professionally voice acted in English, with more languages to be presumed coming down the line. There’s also several side missions to tackle, adding on to the already beefy package coming with Early Access. All of the content on offer should be good for 25 hours total, coming in at $39.99 or your region’s equivalent. At least to me, that’s more than you might expect from a traditional early release like this.
If you’re planning to play EVERSPACE 2, Early Access is something you shouldn’t look past. The team says they’ll be increasing the price once it releases next year, so it’s a great time to pick it up. If you want a better idea of what’s to come, here’s Michael Schade, CEO and co-founder of ROCKFISH Games to tell you just that:
On top of the two star systems EVERSPACE 2 pilots will be able to explore in Early Access at launch, we plan to have four to six more as well as several additional player ship subclasses beyond the Interceptor, Sentinel, Striker, Gunship, and Scout at launch, to be gradually added on a quarterly basis. In the final game, players will also be able to enjoy twice as much story content plus lots of worthwhile endgame activities. We look forward to working closely with our community over the course of the next 12 to 18 months to make an outstanding narrative-driven open-world space looter shooter.”
