Everybody Loves Raymond fans got a special treat recently when Ray Romano stepped onto the stage to join in during a celebrity karaoke night at the 2025 American Century Golf Tournament. What no one saw coming was the comedian/actor’s choice of songs and his spectacular performance.
While Ray Romano’s twin sons reportedly pushed their dad on stage to perform, the beloved sitcom dad didn’t miss a word as he belted out the entire Eminem rap song, Lose Yourself. Romano’s Staten Island accent added uniqueness to the tune, and the crowd was blown away by his unexpected performance.
“The way he doesn’t even need to look at the lyrics,” noted one fan.
“That was something I never expected to see. But I’m here for it,” laughed another.
Fans were eating it up with some laughing until they cried, others were genuinely stunned by how committed Ray was to the song. Ray did not disappoint, according to Parade reports. The actor was described as a little slow, slightly out of breath, but unforgettable.
Everybody Still Loves Raymond, But Ray Romano Says Don’t Expect a Reboot
Ray Romano’s rap karaoke brought some new life to his fan base. While Everybody Loves Raymond remains a go-to favorite sitcom for many. Don’t get too excited about seeing him back on your TV as the lovable Ray Barone. The show’s 30th anniversary is this year, and Romano and co-star Patricia Heaton officially shut down the idea of a reboot.
While fans would love to see the Barones back in action, according to the New York Post. Ray Romano sadly explained how the family comedy series wouldn’t work these days. He reveals that too many of the series’ key cat members are no longer with us.

Peter Boyle, Doris Roberts, and Sawyer Sweeten were the heart of the show, and without them, it just wouldn’t feel right to them, according to Heaton and Romano. The stars agreed they’d rather leave the show intact than risk turning it into a shadow of what it was.
Ray Romano might not be stepping back into sitcom stardom anytime soon. No matter how much fans plead for it. However, Everybody Loves Raymond isn’t going anywhere. Thanks to endless reruns, the Barone family still crashes into households daily, keeping the laughs alive

If Ray wants to keep surprising fans with random karaoke moments, fans claim they are all in. He may not be rebooting the Barones, but he’s not ready to fade into sitcom history just yet.
