Sethos is the latest character who has recently stirred the Genshin Impact community. His name has been popping up in leaks and official media, with the Special Program 4.6 being the latest source. In this program, we witness Cyno’s return in the second chapter of his Story Quest, but he’s not alone. While details are scarce, what we know about Sethos hints at his potential involvement in an upcoming update, promising a fresh and exciting addition to the game.
Genshin Impact Leaks Shows Sethos as an Essential Character in Cyno’s Past
For some time, there were leaks of a boy from Sumeru who stood out for having white hair with cat or dog ears. This only appeared in the supposed concept art of the character; even if these would have been real, many characters change for their final version. According to the new Genshin Impact trailer of Version 4.6, the lore of Sethos is related to the gods of Sumeru, who chose him and Cyno, meaning they could be rivals or something else. We can expect a great story in between that ends in an epic battle that pits General Mahamatra and Sethos against each other.
Many believe Clorinde and Sigewinne will be the 5-star characters in the next update. So Sethos could be a 4-star character from Genshin Impact, but with the new trailer and other leaks, it seems his Vision will also be Electro like Cyno. This could be because they both obtained their powers from the same “source” and will have to fight for them or see who gets to be the only “chosen” one. For this same reason, fans believe that Sethos’ skills will also be some reference to a wolf, dog, or Anubis, similar to Cyno. Some others think that his constellations will have a spider theme, although the sharp-tipped braids of his hair look more like a scorpion.
Another important detail for any character is their voice actor, and for Sethos, Zeno Robinson will bring this mysterious desert boy to life. Robinson has roles including Vane from Granblue Fantasy: Relink and Rising, Hawks from My Hero Academia, and Goh from Pokemon. We can expect great voice lines and an epic story. This only makes me wish Sethos would arrive as a playable character as soon as possible.
