Fallout 4 Next-Gen Update: Release Date and Cost

Bethesda announced that the Fallout 4 next-gen update releases on April 25 for both PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. As long as you already own the game for the console of your choice, the update is free. There are plenty of goodies that come with this update alone, but PS4 and Xbox One players aren’t completely left out. If you own the game on the previous consoles, you can still enjoy a free update that includes fixes to login, quests, and stability improvements.

Next-Gen Update Improvements

With the next-gen update, Bethesda includes several fixes PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players will appreciate. It includes the following:

• Native applications
• Performance Mode and Quality Mode Settings
• Stability improvements and bug fixes
• 60 FPS
• Increased resolutions

PC Improvements

Alongside the next-gen fixes, PC Fallout 4 players can also enjoy their own update with the following improvements:

• Widescreen and ultra-widescreen support
• Creation Kit fixes
