It’s been quite the night for Diablo 4. While we all knew the Season of Divine Intervention would arrive today, we were not prepared for all the things it would bring, especially a new class that is available for those who pre-order the next expansion, Lord of Hatred. Beyond that, however, there are many additions coming to this season. So, if you want to take your Paladin out for a spin or just grab your favorite class into this new hellish journey, here’s everything you need to know about the Season of Divine Intervention.
Season of Divine Intervention Guide
While the season just kicked off a few hours ago, Blizzard already unveiled some of its gameplay in a trailer some days ago, so if you haven’t watched it, we’ll attach it here. And for those of you who prefer a quick guide, here it is.
Season of Divine Intervention brings the Lesser Evils, Duriel, Belial, and Andariel. However, you’ll also be able to encounter Azmodan roaming the world, so prepare before facing this towering and iconic menace.
To face the legions of hell, you’ll get Divine Gifts that will enhance your adventure with more experience, better loot drops, or even material rewards. You’ll be able to obtain these gifts by battling any of the Lesser Evils we mentioned above.
However, it won’t be a walk around the hellish park, as improved Monster Combat will debut this season, bringing a new challenge even for those who know the denizens of Sanctuary like the back of their hand. And of course, the itemisation gimmick of this season is Sanctification. This feature will greatly empower your items with random enhancements.
The great thing about this season is that it will feel completely fresh due to the new additions, but also due to the debut of the Paladin. Bringing this holy fighter to the Season of Divine Intervention is fitting, as there is also a questline tailored around this class, according to the official website.
Naturally, there’s also a new Battle Pass, with many themed rewards that are fitting for those holy crusaders out there, or for anyone who wants to do demon-slaying, really. Remember to also check the Reliquary to pick the path you want to pursue and obtain those specific rewards.
So, those excited to play a new class or just jump back into Sanctuary with new systems should definitely try Season of Divine Intervention. And if you want to check the more specific details, remember to read the season’s blog post, which goes over every other feature coming with Season 11.
