Actor Ezra Miller, known for starring as The Flash in the DCEU, was arrested in Hawaii on Sunday for disorderly conduct and harassment. According to Hawaii News Now, Millerโs arrest was related to an incident at a karaoke bar in Hilo where Miller became agitated and yelled obscenities when people started singing karaoke. At one point, Miller grabbed the microphone from a 23-year-old singer midsong. The Hawaii County police say that Miller later lunged at a 32-year-old man playing darts. The bartender attempted to get Miller to calm down, but the actor refused to comply. This all constituted a disorderly conduct and harassment offense that led to Millerโs arrest. Miller was charged and released after a $500 bail.

Ezra Millerโs Arrest Ruins Oscar Moment
Millerโs arrest occurred on a day that should have been cause for celebration for the actor. A scene from Zack Snyderโs Justice League in which Millerโs character the Flash enters the speed force won โmost cheer-worthy momentโ at the Oscars in the #OscarsFanFavorite campaign on Twitter. However, Miller likely didnโt get to celebrate the moment due to being detained by the Hawaii Police Department. Interestingly, Miller isnโt the only one who tainted his own โOscar moment.โ Will Smith, who won an Oscar for Best Actor, is still trending not for his win but for his shocking slap of Chris Rock moments before winning the award.
Along with Millerโs portrayal of Barry Allen/The Flash in the DCEU, the actor is known for portraying Credence Barebone in the Fantastic Beasts film series. The third installment of that series, The Secrets of Dumbledore, will release on April 15. The Flash, Millerโs first stand-alone film in the DCEU, will release in June 2023.
